New Reader in Computer Science

Dr James Marshall will be joining DCS as a Reader in Computer Science this Autumn as a result of the Faculty of Engineering "Prize Lectureship" initiative.

Dr Marshall is currently a member of the Machine Learning and Biological Computation group at Bristol University. He has a broad range of interests in machine learning and biologically-inspired computation, including biologically-inspired algorithms, cognitive behaviour, complex adaptive systems, evolutionary theory, mathematical biology and social insect behaviour.
