Sheffield ITMB students win national event

Students from our Information Technology Management for Business (ITMB) degree programme won a national competition in Manchester on 28th November. The event involved nearly 350 students from 11 universities.

The event, hosted by Deloitte, was an opportunity for students on ITMB programmes to network with their peers, learn new skills, meet prospective employers and hear talks from industry experts representing businesses such as Capgemini, HSBC, P&G and Morrisons. They also competed in two team-working competitions tackling real-world challenges; one set by CreditSuisse, and one set by Deloitte. 

We are delighted to report that a team of our first year ITMB students won the CreditSuisse competition, which asked how large financial organisations can attract and recruit the millennial generation. The team - Ivan Dimchev, Liviu-Adrian Mihalcea, Andrei-Cornel Sorbun and Polina Georgieva - designed a poster and gave a presentation to CreditSuisse. They were awarded a trophy and a £500 prize. Congratulations to them all!
