The Software Hut
In your second year, you will compete in teams in the Software Hut competition. With guidance from us, and training from Accenture, you will work in teams to manage and develop a software project for an external business client.
A Software Hut Project: DOMINIC
Created by Software Hut students for the Police Domestic Violence Unit in 2004, DOMINIC is a system designed to record all domestic violence incidents reported in Doncaster. Since DOMINIC was installed it has been in continuous use. It now contains details of several thousands of incidents, and is an invaluable resource for police officers in very important enquiries. DOMINIC has never crashed or malfunctioned in any way.
