Undergraduate Open DaysParticipating in one of our Open Days will give you an opportunity to tour the Department and a Hall of Residence, to meet fellow candidates as well as lecturers teaching on our courses. You also get to hear from some of our present students about what studying at the University of Sheffield and in our department is really like. Open Days for EnquirersAre you interested in what it might be like to become a student in our Department? The University offers open days that run from April through to September. On these open days you will get a change to look around our Department and the University. In particular we aim to help you to decide if our degree programmes are the right courses for you. Find out more about Central University Open Days Open Days for UCAS ApplicantsThe Department invites all UCAS applicants who meet our selection criteria and are UK residents to visit us on one of our Departmental Open Days. We hold a series of Departmental Open Days between November and March each year. We will contact you with an invitation once we have received your application through UCAS, if you wish you can also bring members of your family along. We aim to provide you with all the information you need for deciding whether to accept our offer. If you are resident overseas we will send you an information pack. School Open DaysThe department periodically arranges school open days in combination with the Faculty of Engineering. These are designed for school pupils who have not yet made their choice and would like to find out more about a career in Science or Engineering. These are either one day events or run for a whole week allowing pupils to visit and participate in various computer science activities. Mature StudentsWe welcome applications from mature students.
