Recycling Workshops October 2016

Are you confused about what can and can’t go in the recycling bins? You’re not alone – lots of people are!

Charlotte Winnert, our Environment Officer, and Dimitra Pilichou, our Sustainability Projects Assistant are running practical recycling workshops that aim to take the confusion out of recycling.

We’ll begin by looking at why it’s so important to get the right stuff in the right bin, before we look at specifics and answer your burning questions ….. about waste and recycling, we’re sorry but we can’t help with your love life!

This is your chance to get your hands dirty (metaphorically speaking) and explore what we collect in our mixed recycling bins and what happens to it. Don’t delay – book your place today.

We have organised five lunch time sessions (12.30 – 1.30) throughout October.

Monday 3rd October - View Room 5, Students’ Union
Wednesday 5th October - View Room 6, Students’ Union
Wednesday 12th October - View Room 4, Students’ Union
Monday 17th October - View Room 4, Students’ Union
Wednesday 19th October - View Room 4, Students’ Union

As this is a practical session, numbers are limited to 15 per session.

You can book a place on a workshop by emailing safety@sheffield.ac.uk. Don’t forget to tell us your name and which session you’d like to attend.

If you have any queries get in touch with Charlotte directly at C.L.Winnert@sheffield.ac.uk or on 29083
