Students present 'Oscar' to Lynne Bingle

Dr Lynne Bingle's work in supporting students has been rewarded by being named as 'personal tutor of the year' at the University Academic Awards ceremony on the 12th May 2011. Pictured here with Joe Oliver, the Education Officer of the Student's Union, Dr Bingle received her award at a reception opened by David Blunkett MP, attended by Aaron Porter the NUS President and closed by the Vice Chancellor Keith Burnett.

Nominations for these awards are made by students with shortlisting by the education committee, there were over 350 nominations awards in 17 categories. This major achievement is testament to Lynne's hard work on behalf of our students.
