Dream Bigger Dreams

Sheffield Fayre in Norfolk Heritage Park, 25-26 August

Kitchen Science Carnage: what can you do with common chemicals and materials found in your kitchen? We're once again supporting the Sheffield Fayre this August bank holiday weekend.

The Sheffield Fayre is organised by Sheffield City Council in partnership with The Friends of Norfolk Heritage Park. It's supported by the University of Sheffield's National Fairground Archive and Dream Bigger Dreams.

Professor Vanessa from the University of Sheffield's National Fairground Archive will bring a range of amazing shows including Professor Jon's Flea Circus, Strange but True, The Insect Circus Museum and leading street performers from around the UK including Dangerous Steve.

Kitchen Science Carnage is one of the many family-friendly interactive activities we're bringing to Sheffield Fayre as part of Dream Bigger Dreams. It's a rapid exploration into the intriguing experiments you can do with common chemicals and materials found in your kitchen cupboard. Be prepared to light your brillo pads on fire, make a bubble eruption from yeast and fire rockets to Mars, all while learning a thing or two about the chemistry and physics behind the mess.

We will also have Professor Fluffy, and some silly science for the younger children and for the parents, staff our Institute for Lifelong Learning will be on hand to explain how gaining a University qualification through part-time study may be easier than you think.

We hope to see you there!
