MEd Educational Studies: Learning, Teaching and Research (Singapore)
Do you need a qualification that is specifically designed to meet the changing needs of Singapore teachers and lecturers in a 21st century globalized world?

Having successfully run distance learning Masters in Education programmes in Singapore since 1992, The University of Sheffield School of Education is delighted to announce the launch of a new MEd Educational Studies: Learning, Teaching and Research.
The course is designed to meet the needs of Singaporean educators today and aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the contexts and processes of learning, teaching and educational research in order to equip them with the skills, aptitudes and critical reflexivity required for further academic research and pedagogical practice. Specifically it aims to:
- develop an understanding of differing perspectives on the processes of learning;
- develop a critical understanding of the contexts and practices of pedagogy;
- develop practical and theoretical awareness of research methodologies, methods and procedures, through which pedagogical practice can be investigated;
- develop specialised substantive and research knowledge in relation to the contexts of teaching and learning
- develop a commitment to self-learning, the development of life skills and foster intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and reflection and independent judgement.
