Ways of Knowing
Kate is involved in the AHRC Connected Communities funded project on Ways of Knowing: Exploring the different registers, values and subjectivities of collaborative research. This project is about collaborative research – between researchers, practitioners and ‘communities’ – and challenges what counts as ‘knowledge’. A research team comprised of researchers, practitioners and community members – all of whom have been engaged in collaborative research – will explore the multiple ‘ways of knowing’ produced through collaboration via reflexively deploying well-established collaborative methods (storytelling; diagramming; a Socratic dialogue). The project will generate a range of web resources aimed at supporting reflexive collaborative research and research methods and conclude with an international workshop to be held in December 2013.
