We are pleased to welcome you to the First School of Education Research Student Conference (SERSC 2013). This is an important event at the School of Education as it brings together research students from different backgrounds and cultures to share their research topics and perspectives with their fellow research students in a friendly and supportive environment. The conference is also an important contribution to the School of Education’s continued endeavour to promote and support high quality research amongst its students.

The Organising committee is delighted to welcome our keynote speakers for this year’s conference and thank all the PhD and MA students who have volunteered to present their research. We would also like to encourage those who were unable to present their work at this year’s conference to take advantage of such an opportunity in the future.

As this is our first conference, we highly appreciate your feedback on various aspects of the conference including, the dissemination of information, choice of venue, structure of the two days, quality of presentations, etc. Please fill in the feedback form at the end of this welcome pack and leave it with any member of the Organising Committee.
