European exchanges for home students

The School of English has links with other English departments in a number of European universities under the Erasmus European exchange programme. This programme allows students to spend one semester of their second year of undergraduate study in a European partner institution. Students follow courses, taught in English, equivalent to those they would normally be studying as part of their degree programme in Sheffield. The results they obtain while on the exchange count towards their final degree classification in the usual way. No extra tuition fees are payable and students may also receive a small grant from the European Union to help with travel and subsistence costs.
