The Sheffield Graduate Award

HEAR 6.1

  • The HEAR is a new type of degree transcript which all undergraduates will now receive, starting with the undergraduates who arrived at Sheffield in 2012-13. Section 6.1 of the HEAR will record extra-curricular achievements that can be verified by the University or the Students' Union.
  • If your activity is verifiable then you  need to liaise with the activity organiser to find out what you need to do.
  • Once you have met the criteria, the activity organiser will confirm this with the university and it will appear on your HEAR.

The Sheffield Graduate Award

  • The Sheffield Graduate Award is a prestigious award scheme that undergraduate and taught post-graduate students can choose to take part in.
  • To get the award, you need to take part in 150 hours of work experience and activities across four categories.  You also need to produce a plan and a portfolio.
  • The award showcases your talents and achievements.
