The Think Ahead program, in partnership with the Sheffield Healthcare Gateway has launched a new projectTHE INDUSTRIAL KNOWLEDGE FORGEThis project aims to develop close links with industry and embed development of industrial knowledge for early career researchers, through industrial networking and partnering for research projects, across the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health.
This will be achieved through a variety of activities including seminars, lectures, networking meetings, workshops, career expos and an industrial mentoring program. |
THE InKForge TEAMInKForge is developed in conjunction with Faculty academic expertise, creating a research-led approach to researcher training needs. We work in partnership with a dedicated KT team through the Sheffield Healthcare Gateway.Dr Ilaria Bellantuono is the academic lead for InKForge and was the Chair of the Early Career Group Committee for 3 years until November 2012. The committee provides strategic thinking in the design of all 'Think Ahead' programme components, and in doing so equips junior researchers with a career trajectory and skills which meet employers' needs. Dr Juliet Harland and Dr Kay Guccione provide specialist training and development input to InKForge which aims to develop the next generation of research leaders. Our work in employer market research, and academic engagement is intensified in all InKForge projects. |
