Profile	Research Grant Reporting (uBASE)
Level	Budget holders or Departmental Administrators requiring to monitor budgets for research grants Course also available to existing users requiring a refresher
Course length	The research grant reporting course is available on-line for individuals to work through at their own pace
Pre-requisites	You must have some basic navigational skills on uBASE which should be provided by your departmental colleagues or line manager. uSpace for Basics in Navigation also provides general guidance documentation on using uBASE and understanding how to navigate around the system

Course objectives	Assuming prior knowledge of uBASE, the course will cover: Understand the use of research grant accounts Understand the financial year and financial periods used at the University How to run the budget usage report for a project (WBS) account or an element of a project account How to run the actual/commitment analysis report showing expenditure within a project account How to use the 'drill down' facility to view each individual transaction Understand the terminology used in uBASE for project account income and expenditure
