The Insurance Section is responsible for arranging insurance cover, whenever possible, to protect the University's assets and revenue streams and against legal liabilities that may attach as a result of educational, research and commercial activities undertaken.

Detailed information relating to the insurance programme can be found within the University’s Financial Regulations on Insurance. An Abridged Summary is available as a download opposite.

Additionally, departments and university personnel can request insurance for:

• staff and family members travelling on university business abroad
• university owned laptops
• clinical trials
