Spring 2010 Newsletter and information for undergraduate applicants
The spring 2010 issue of our newsletter for undergraduate applicants - Update… - has now been published. You can just click on the image to download the newsletter in PDF format.
This issue features details of our first-ever Intro Week Welcome Walk and our newly-launched internship for Level 2 students at the Geographical Society's headquarters, as well as news from the Geography Society, research highlights of 2009, and details of recent successes in terms of the Department's research ranking and the University's ranking for undergraduate student experience.
The newsletter is aimed at everyone who might be interested in studying a Geography or related degree at the University of Sheffield, and complements our undergraduate brochures that detail our range of Geography and Environmental Science degrees. Please note that our prospective undergraduate webpages also contain a wealth of useful information for applicants, including details of how to visit the department on an Open Day, and a comprehensive list of FAQs.
Current applicants who have received an offer from us via UCAS should note that the newsletter contains a reminder to book onto an Open Day, where you will find out more about life and work at the University of Sheffield. Current offer-holders should also expect to receive a hardcopy of the newsletter by post; if you fail to receive yours by late February then please contact our Undergraduate Admissions Secretary (see the "Further information" link for details).
