Welcome to our Alumni Community

As a former student or member of staff at the University of Sheffield, your relationship with the Department of Geography doesn’t end when you graduate. You will join an international community of over 4000 geographers who work both in professional roles and academic research.

There are a number of ways you can still be involved with the department and the University. As well as sharing with us your news and graduate testimonials there are a wide range of volunteering opportunities and events available at the University and the Department of Geography.

Our volunteering projects include; e-mentoring current students, attending open days as an ambassador and delivering skills workshops. Our prospective and current students can learn a lot from your knowledge and experiences and is a great way for you to develop your own skills and remain involved in the department.

Throughout the year we hold a range of events that you will be invited to including; careers talks, master classes and workshops for current students, networking events and research seminars.
