Graham Allsopp graduated in 1980 from what became the Oxford Brookes University degree course in Cartography.

He joined the University in 1983 and has overseen the transformation of cartography within Geography from a pure pen-and-ink process though to today's fully digital system. Graham has served on the committee of the Society of Cartographers for nearly 15 years and is currently Honorary Treasurer.

Paul Coles joined the Department of Geography in 1978.

Since joining the University, Paul gained an ONC in Surveying, Cartography and Planning and a HND in Town Planning from what is now Sheffield Hallam University.
