Taught Masters Courses

MA in International Development (MAID)

MAID students complete 180 credits of study over a one-year period (full time). These comprise of 135 core credits and 45 credits from optional courses.

Courses are delivered through a mixture of lectures, seminars and independent study, emphasising the latest research and drawing explicitly from the individual expertise of each academic. Assessment methods include essays, reflexive writing, research reports, policy briefs and oral presentations.

Full year: Professional Skills for Development

Students who are awarded 120 credits (excluding the dissertation) are eligible for a Postgraduate Diploma in International Development.

Students who are awarded 60 credits (excluding the dissertation) are eligible for a Postgraduate Certificate in International Development.
