Accommodation
The University has dedicated postgraduate accommodation, though nearly all our postgraduates live in rented accommodation. Accommodation Services will send you information upon confirmation of your acceptance to study at Sheffield.
In addition, the city has a good stock of private-sector housing all within a reasonable distance of the University. Some of this housing is on the University's register of private housing, and this has been inspected at regular intervals. A typical rent for a single room in a shared house would be between £40 and £50 per week. Bedsits are usually slightly more expensive.
