Geography at SheffieldOur courses explore what shapes the world around us and tackles some of the most pressing issues that face the world today. Physical Geographers at Sheffield are the forefront of research on climate, the cryosphere, and Earth surface processes whilst Human Geographers in the department are at the forefront of debates about globalisation, development, culture, consumption, and health & inequality. Geography degrees at Sheffield are very flexible, allowing you to choose a mainly physical, mainly human, or a mix of both whichever course you opt for. We also offer a Dual Honours course combining Geography with Planning. |
Environmental Science at SheffieldOur courses provide an integrated understanding of our physical and biological environment and issues of environmental concern. Learning and teaching is underpinned by the expertise of over 60 academic staff in two internationally-renowned departments: the Department of Geography and the Department of Animal & Plant Sciences. The courses offer specialised pathways that produce graduates with expertise appropriate to a wide range of environmental science careers. Our 4-year undergraduate Masters course offers additional expertise for those intending on a career in Environmental Science research. |
