Case study
Bryony Smith - BSc Geography
"The main thing that attracted me to the course was the ability to choose modules from both BSc and BA. I'm taking a BSc degree, but have actually done a rough 50/50 split in BSc and BA modules. There are certain aspects of human geography that I’m really interested in, especially political geography.
The range of module choices is fantastic. It gives you the ability to tailor your degree so that you study the areas of geography that you are most interested in, and for me means I am learning many different things. The course structure means that Geography students have plenty of time to not only complete their work, but also participate in sports or other activities that you can get involved in at the university.
I have just been on a field trip to California, which you can’t do with many other courses! I’d advise a new student to look into the course and what it offers you; not many universities give the diversity that Geography at Sheffield offers you."
