Research Ethics

All research conducted by academic staff, contract researchers, post graduate researchers and undergraduate students at the University of Sheffield is conducted in accordance with the University's policies on research ethics.

Departmental guidelines are contained in the document Ethics review guidelines: departmental procedures. Forms for logging research and to trigger the ethical review process are available in the document Research database and ethics review checklist. Both of these are available for download as Word documents from this page, as well as copy of the Ethics Review Application form; please note access is restricted to registered departmental users.
