Erasmus is the European Commission's exchange programme enabling you to study for part of your degree in another European country. It's a great opportunity to spend a semester in another European country, and have it count towards your Sheffield degree.
Study Abroad allows you to study in universities worldwide. This is normally your second year, and the courses taken abroad count towards your degree in Sheffield.
We currently have links to universities in the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong.
If you think that you're interested in spending some time studying for your degree abroad contact Cathy Humphreys, Learning & Teaching Officer in the Departmental Office.
Students Services Information Desk
SSID is a one-stop shop for student services.
If you need course information, Exam details, if things aren't going right, have money worries, or you just need a form or dates for your diary, SSID can help.
Staff-Student Committee and GeogSoc
The Staff–Student Committee is your opportunity to have your views heard in the Department. Your student representatives attend regular meetings with Department staff where they raise questions and make suggestions for how to improve your experience of the Department.
You can find the Committee Minutes on MOLE2.
GeogSoc was awarded Best Society at the University in 2012. With over 500 members, it's here for the benefit of the students to help ensure that everyone has an amazing time whilst studying in Sheffield.
