Anna Ludvigsen

Feeding the imagination: an inter-generational study of reading and eating in British middle-class families
Supervisors: Dr Megan Blake and Professor Peter Jackson, University of Sheffield and Alison Bailey, The British Library

Using the examples of eating and reading, this project examines the reproduction of middleclass values within British families. Using a life history approach, interviews with three generations of family members, focus on how cultural norms are transmitted through everyday practices in childhood.
