Climate change induced migration and its consequences: a case study of Bangladesh
Supervisors: Professor Grant Bigg and Dr Juergen Zimmerer
I have successfully completed a Master of Environmental Science and Technology (EST) with a thesis entitled Temperature and Precipitation Changes in Bangladesh from Vrije University, Brussels, Belgium (VUB). In the past, I received a BSc (Hons) and an MSc in Geography & Environment from the University of Dhaka (DU), Bangladesh and also completed a Diploma in Computer Science and Application from Bangladesh Open University.

As an environmental specialist, I have always had an intense interest in climate change issues. This has inspired me to work in the field of environmental change and its impact on society. I am now working for a PhD, concentrating on describing past and future physical environmental change due to climate change and its impact on human society.

Research experience
- I am working on Climate change induced migration and its consequences: a case study of Bangladesh as a Postgraduate research with Professor Grant Bigg and Dr Juergen Zimmerer. In the this research, we are going to integrate: climate change, its possible effect on Bangladesh's internal and external migration, and subsequent conflict, and adaptation polices
- MSc Research project Temperature and Precipitation Changes in Bangladesh with Professor Hugo Decleir at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. In this thesis the recent climatic variability and trend of temperature and precipitation over different region of Bangladesh have been analyzed.
