For all information about entry requirements, including our typical offer, required subjects and the number of A levels required, please consult our online prospectus.

  • Equivalent qualifications are welcomed
  • Mature students are welcomed
  • General Studies is accepted

Luxembourg is unique, and our course reflects that. It combines a firm grounding in German Studies with courses on Luxembourgish language and culture as well as on multilingualism.

The emphasis of the degree will be on German Studies, but 1/3 of your time will enable you to build up your knowledge and understanding of Luxembourg Studies. So the weighting is two parts German to one part Luxembourg Studies.

As one of the three officially recognised languages of Luxembourg, French also comprises a part of degree programmes in Luxembourg Studies. However, you will not need to reach the same level in all three languages on the degree.

To give you an impression of what your degree would look like, see the table below. You will be expected to take a total of 120 credits at each level.
