Biography
Jenny graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Town & Country Planning, then worked as a planning officer in South Staffs District Council and then in Telford New Town. After moving to Sheffield and having children she re-trained in Business Studies and Administration at The Sheffield College and spent a year with an architectural practice before coming to the University.
Jenny is a regular runner, saying as it's good for the brain as well as physical fitness. She also reads a lot, and is a member of a book group for university wives. She plays the fiddle in a chamber music group, and does patchwork, quilting and weavings (as you will see if you go into her office and look on the walls!)
Current research interests
Jenny is involved in the organisation and administration of all the research activities undertaken within the GPRG. She has recently helped with the production of a book on groundwater for UNESCO.
