The Hawley Collection is an internationally important collection of edge tools, cutlery and measuring instruments, mainly from Sheffield, but with complementary material from Britain and the rest of the world. University students can study the Hawley Collection as part of their MA course at the University of Sheffield.
The Collection is owned by a charitable Trust and is now housed at Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield in a building specially modified for it. For more information on the history of the collection, the trust and using the collection, please visit the Hawley Collection.
The Collection has been awarded registered museum status, and has had support from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
