Update on Department Move

Message from Professor Shelagh Brumfitt Head of Department.

The move from the buildings on Claremont Crescent to the refurbished building on Mushroom Lane is scheduled for the late summer, possibly early September. At the moment the building is being refurbished to make it fit for our purpose: new clinical facilities are being constructed on the ground floor for example. New windows are being put in, offices redesigned and redecorated and a new reception space has been designed.
This is a very exciting time for us. The new building will allow us all to be in the same place and this will make all our communications much easier.

12th June. More developments! See some new photos! The last four photos show some of the interior decorating and examples of new windows fitted.

18th July. A lot of progress has been made on the new building. Much of the interior decoration is complete and the remaining work is focusing on the ground floor and the clinical facilities.
See the bottom set of photos which show some of the offices on the top and second floor; these include individual offices and shared space.

Please look at our photos to see the start of the work on the building!
