Three inspirational academics from the University of Sheffield have been honoured by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
Margaret Freeman (HCS) was presented with a Fellowship for her contribution to Speech and Language Therapy student teaching, Professor Bill Wells (HCS) was given an Honorary Fellowship in recognition of his outstanding work for the Speech and Language Therapy profession, and Dr Sue Pownall (RHH) was given a Fellowship for her groundbreaking research into Dysphagia, disorders of swallowing.
The second Giving Voice Awards took place at a glittering ceremony in London to celebrate the commitment and achievements of speech and language therapy champions across the UK.
HRH The Countess of Wessex presented the awards and highlighted how speech and language therapy can transform people's lives.
