Biography

I studied phonetics, computational linguistics and computer science in Munich from 2003 till 2008 in Munich.
During this period, in winter 05/06, I studied at the INPG and Universite Stendhal in Grenoble. I was awarded the masters degree in February 2008.

Since April 2008 I'm registered as a MPhil/PhD student at the University of Sheffield, shared between the Dep. of Human Communication Science and the Dep. of Computer Science. The studentship is funded by the European Commission within the sound-to-sense project.

Research Interests

Research Project

As the main interest of the sound-to-sense project is the search for "Fine Phonetic Detail" in conversational speech, my aim is to understand peoples' interaction from this point of view and to find visual and auditory cues, they use.
