PhD and Masters Scholarships In Arts & Humanities 

Deadline: 29th March 2013.

Please note that to apply for any of the below funding you must first apply to the University for admission to an appropriate programme of study. Your course application should include a supporting statement two academic references; a BA Transcript of modules undertaken so far.

Important: Your references and transcript will also be considered alongside your funding application, so please make sure that your referees are aware that their reference should be written with a funding application in mind.

Arts & Humanities Masters Fee Scholarships

Deadline: 12pm, 29th March 2013.

For entry in 2013-14, the Arts & Humanities Faculty is offering a number of Fees Scholarships for Masters applicants on a competitive basis.

Award details: The Arts & Humanities Masters Fee Scholarships will cover the cost of the tuition fees (at the Home/EU level) and are tenable for one year full-time or two years part-time.

Eligibility: These awards are open to UK, EU and International applicants who are applying to study either full or part-time. Applicants should expect to achieve a First or upper second class BA degree.

Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Research Preparation Masters Studentships

Deadline: 12pm, 29th March 2013.

The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) has awarded the University of Sheffield a number of studentships, which are now available through the AHRC Block Grant Partnership (BGP).

Through the BGP, the University will award studentships to prospective postgraduate students, on a competitive basis and subject to AHRC approval.

Award Details: these scholarships cover UK/EU tuition fees and provide a tax-free maintenance stipend at the standard UK research rate (£9,490 in 2012-13).

Eligibility: These awards are open to UK and EU applicants who have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years immediately preceding the start of their course. Both full and part-time applicants are eligible to apply. Applicants should expect to achieve a First or upper second class BA degree.
