Regularisation of Atypical Workers

Work on the Regularisation of Atypical Workers is progressing well across the University, with a large number of departments working closely with HR. The project team has been strengthened by the appointment of Helen Norton as project co-ordinator.

The University has an obligation to ensure that it applies appropriate rules of engagement for anyone undertaking work on the University’s behalf. A Framework for the regularisation of atypical workers has been developed in partnership with the trade unions and senior management University committees to address this. The Framework provides a corporate-wide approach for reviewing employment status and regularising existing atypical workers, and for engaging future atypical workers.
