The University is proud to sponsor Sheffield Pride 2009, which is being held in Endcliffe Park from 1pm – 7pm on Saturday 20 June.

Sheffield Pride is a celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) life. In 2008, Sheffield hosted its first ever LGBT pride event in the name of South Yorkshire Pride (Sheffield) 2008. Over 4000 people attended and packed out Cemetery Park in Sharrow. This years Pride event is set to be bigger and better than ever. Events include a dance tent, civil partnership fayre, community area, stalls and activities for children.

A wide range of acts will be performing on the main music stage – these include Eurovision’s Scooch, Electrovamp, Smoker’s Die Younger and the amazing talents of Sheffield’s very own LGBT choir, Out Aloud.
