USPS Review Consultation Update
As you will be aware, the University is consulting with staff about proposals to change USPS during 2011. The period of consultation was due to end on 14 February 2011. It has now been agreed by the University Council that consultation will be extended to 10am on Friday 25 March 2011.
Comments on the proposals can still be submitted using the pink form attached to the consultation booklet or on-line at http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/uspsreview. The USPS Project Team and the trade unions will be continuing with their discussions during this period.
This message aims to signpost affected staff to some additional presentations and drop in sessions that have been arranged for this period:
Future presentations
We are delivering more presentations on the proposed changes. Members of the project team will be available to answer questions at these sessions.
Sessions open to all
Friday 18 February 2011, 10 am-12noon in Mappin Hall
Monday 28 February 2011, Northern General Hospital. Time and location to be confirmed
Tuesday 15 March 2011, 3-5pm, Lecture Theatre C, Hicks Building
Session aimed at USPS members on grades 1 to 5
Wednesday 23 February 2011, 1.30-3.30pm in Lecture Theatre 6, The Arts Tower
Session aimed at USPS members on grades 6 and above
Thursday 10 March 2011, 1-3pm, Lecture Theatre 3, Medical School
Session aimed at staff on grades 1 to 5 who are not currently members of USPS
Wednesday 23 March 2011, 9-11am, Lecture Theatre 1, Dental School
Drop in Sessions
We are hosting more drop-in sessions to help affected staff to use of the online modeller and to ask questions about the proposals. There is no need to book, just come along at the times shown below. All drop-in sessions will be held in the Computer Training Room, 301 Glossop Road. Directions are available by calling the USPS Helpdesk on extension 24493.

Friday 4 March 2011, 8am – 1pm
