HR staff volunteer at local nature reserve

Volunteers from the Department of Human Resources help out at the Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve.

August 2010: 20 members of the HR Department undertook an afternoon of volunteering at the Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve in the South-East of Sheffield to help with ongoing conservation projects. The group were tasked with the clearance of two overgrown sites on the reserve and the challenge of removing 2 large oil drums from the brook.

The afternoon was a huge success as the group were able to extract both drums from the brook and transform the overgrown areas. This was a fantastic afternoon during which the HR Team contributed to a local environmental project whilst enjoying a fun team-building activity.
