Extension of right to request flexible working

Here at the University of Sheffield, we are fully committed to assisting all out staff, including working parents and carers, in achieving a healthy work-life balance and we have for some time had a series of policies and initiatives in place to support this commitment.

From today the Government has extended the right to request flexible working to parents of children aged 16 or under, and our web pages have been updated to support staff interested in making a request and managers in dealing with such requests.
