


The Business Solutions Team are continually working to ensure the employment-related processes and systems help to drive the University's agenda and are efficient, effective and user friendly.
Below are some of the projects the Business Solutions Team are currently preparing:
Flexible Working
Implementation of SAP’s Flexible Working Time Solution will allow myTeam users to record work schedules for staff in their departments. Go Live for this project is April 2013. The key benefits of this are:
- Accurate reflection of working patterns for part time staff
- Increased accuracy in recording of sickness absence
- Simpler annual leave process for part-time staff
myJob/myTeam Upgrade
Following the successful Technical Upgrade which went live in January 2012 myJob and myTeam functionality will be upgraded, further enhancing the user experience. Go live for this project is April 2013. The key benefits are:
- Modern look and feel
- Greater personalisation
- More streamlined annual leave request and approval system
- Increase in the amount of information available to myTeam users
HESA Return 2012/13
Significant changes have been made by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) to the staff data Universities are required to return to them for 2012/13. As a result of this, Business Solutions in partnership with other teams in HR are reviewing staff processes and data capture to comply with these changes. The key benefits to the University will be:
- Improved data capture for Casual Workers
- Increase in the quality of our equality information
- Greater visibility for departments
