Welcome to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Staff Network. The network enables LGBT staff to come together to share information, support and, by signalling a LGBT presence on campus, to ensure we maintain a comfortable and fully inclusive environment in which we can each reach our full potential without fear of discrimination. Latest News LGBT History Month 2013 will be running throughout February, and an events listing page can be downloaded via the right hand box. This will be updated so check back for further details. The LGBT Network: The Network meets formally four times a year, usually between 1pm and 2pm on campus to discuss Network progress and business. We also try to alternate between focussed meetings and open social gatherings where we can catch up over a cup of tea or coffee. All LGBT members of staff are welcome to come along. We also have a dedicated LGBT uSpace, to enable LGBT members of staff to network, discuss issues and share key documents electronically. To join this uSpace, please email us on lgbtnetwork@sheffield.ac.uk We warmly welcome all LGBT colleagues to the network. To join the network please email lgbtnetwork@sheffield.ac.uk If you wish to know more about the network, or just want a friendly ear to talk to, please feel free in confidence to contact: The group has its own Terms of Reference which includes its aims and objectives, and a confidentiality statement.
The next Staff Network Meeting will take place on Friday 1st February, from 1pm-2pm in the Arts Tower Boardroom, Room 104 (Level 1).
The University is pleased to announce that we have been ranked 106 out of almost 400 organisations in the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index, having moved up 25 places since our last submission in 2011. The submission was a collaboration led by staff and students including Human Resources, the LGBT Staff and Student Networks and other colleagues across the University.
We encourage and welcome suggestions for future network dates and would value your input to help shape the future of the group.Contact us
