Maintaining Staff Morale and Wellbeing
As you continue towards implemenation of the change, ensure that you continue to communicate with all staff, using the communications plan you developed earlier. In addition to the Top Tips for the Communication of Change (see right-hand link), remember to:
- Keep formal and informal channels of communication open;
- Keep checking staff morale during change - never assume that because things are quiet that staff are ok;
- Keep listening to staff and responding to questions;
- Involve staff in problem solving and decision making where appropriate.
