myJob/myTeam – Technical Guidance

Access to myJob and myTeam is via the My Services tab within MUSE. If you cannot log into MUSE, please contact the CiCS Helpdesk on ext 21111. If you cannot see the the myJob/myTeam/e-Recruitment link under My Services, please contact the Business Solutions Helpdesk on 21606.

If you are accessing myJob or myTeam away from the University, you will need to have a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection set up. VPN is a secure link provided by CiCS which is required to access the University network remotely. It is quick and easy to set up, you should be connected via VPN before logging in to myJob/myTeam. Guidance on how to set up your VPN connection is provided here.

Browser Issues

myJob and myTeam are compatible with Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer 9. Internet Explorer 10 is not currently supported. Whilst we are working to support Internet Explorer 10, in the interim users are advised to use one of the supported browsers.

Pop-up blockers

To use certain features within myJob/myTeam you may need to turn off your pop up blockers. Instructions are given below on how to do this for each supported browser

Internet Explorer

Press Alt on your keyboard to display the Tools menu. Click Tools, then Pop-up Blocker, and then select Turn off Pop-up Blocker

Firefox

On a PC:

Click on the Firefox button in the top left of the browser window, then select Options, and Options again. Next click Content, and un-check the Block Pop-up windows box.

On a Mac

Click on the Firefox button in the top left of the screen, then click Preferences, then Content, then ensure that the Block Pop-up windows box is unchecked.

Google Chrome

On a PC

Click on the menu icon to the right of the address bar, then click Show Advanced Settings at the foot of the page. Under Privacy click Content Settings... then under Pop-ups click Allow all sites to show pop ups.

Safari

Click on the Safari button in the top left of the screen then click Block Pop-up windows, if there is a tick next to this on the menu.
