What is Working Patterns?
Working Patterns allows myTeam (HR) users to enter information on the working hours of individual's within the Organisational Unit they have responsibility for. Using Working Patterns it is possible to record patterns other than the fixed 7 hour Monday to Friday patterns currently used in uBASE.
From 1 October 2012, Working Patterns will be piloted in two areas of the University with roll out to the rest of the University planned for 2013.
What are the Benefits of using Working Patterns?
The key benefits of using Working Patterns are:
- Accurate reflection of Working Patterns for part-time staff or those whose hours differ each day.
- Increased accuracy in recording of sickness absence.
- Simpler annual leave process for part-time staff or those whose hours differ each day.
Working Patterns will allow users to record where an individual works at the weekend or when they work longer than 7 hours in a day.
Users can also record patterns which rotate over a period of several weeks, accurately reflecting shift patterns.
