Ensuring departmental, faculty and University objectives are disseminated to the department

A key part of SRDS is the setting of objectives for individuals to work towards over the next 12 months. It is expected that the objectives set for individuals will contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives and priorities, and in some cases faculty and University objectives. It is therefore important that individuals are aware of what these wider objectives are, to assist with setting their own objectives.

You should ensure that all staff in the department are aware of the department's objectives and priorities, so they can see how their own role supports the achievement of these objectives. You may also wish to disseminate the faculty and University objectives (as outlined in the Mission, Vision and Identity document) to provide an understanding of the broader context that your department sits in.
