Emeritus Professor
The title of 'Emeritus Professor' may be conferred on fully retired (not resigned or on buy-back) University salaried Professorial staff or Honorary Professorial staff in recognition of distinguished service, and will be effective following the date of retirement.
As no post in the University other than Professor leads to a change in personal title, the use of Emeritus is not applied except at Professorial level.
The Emeritus title may be conferred on a fully retired Honorary Professor, i.e "Honorary Emeritus Professor".
Procedure
