e-Recruitment - FAQs

What is e-Recruitment?

e-Recruitment is the University's staff recruitment system.

What does e-Recruitment cover?

e-Recruitment is used for all staff recruitment and covers the process from gaining authority to recruit through to the appointment of the successful candidate.

How does it relate to uBASE, myTeam and myJob?

e-Recruitment is part of the SAP suite of products, of which uBASE, myTeam and myJob are also a part. This provides some links between the different areas of the system and potential for greater integration in the future.

Who has access to e-Recruitment?

All job applicants, both internal and external, submit their applications through e-Recruitment. Within the recruitment process, departmental Recruiters plus job requisition approvers, recruitment panel members, Department of Finance and Human Resources have access to the system, as appropriate.

How do I access e-Recruitment?

Members of staff working within the recruitment process access the system via the myJob/myTeam/e-Recruitment link in MUSE.

Internal applicants will access the application stage of e-Recruitment through links in myJob and external candidates will access e-Recruitment through the University's existing Jobs web pages.

Do I need to use e-Recruitment for agency or A-Typical workers?

No - please continue to use the current process for employing agency or A-Typical workers.

Are we discriminating against people who don't have a computer?

No - free internet access is provided in all libraries and job centres. The University also provides free internet access to allow staff & members of the public on-line in the Careers Library
