Departmental induction events
1. Research & Innovation Services Induction
R&IS offer induction sessions for new University of Sheffield staff to introduce them to the services that they provide. These sessions are also an excellent opportunity to meet relevant R&IS contacts and learn more about whom to contact for assistance. The sessions take place in March, June and October each year.
2. Strategic Learning and Teaching Induction Day
Led by Professor Paul White, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Learning & Teaching, this event is for all new staff with teaching responsibilities. It will give attendees the opportunity to learn more about the University’s Learning and Teaching Strategy and other key institutional priorities, including Internationalisation, Employability and Civic Engagement.
It also provides an excellent opportunity to network with other new staff across the organisation, and meet colleagues leading on strategic priorities.
