Pay Plus for pensions is a benefit for all members of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) and the University of Sheffield Pension Scheme (USPS).

It enables pension scheme members and the University to save money by taking advantage of HM Revenue and Customs recognised arrangements for paying pension contributions.

The University offers membership of two main schemes: Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) for staff on Grades 6 and above and the University of Sheffield Pension Scheme (USPS) for Grades 1 to 5. Both schemes operate on an auto-enrolment basis, and both the University and the member make contributions to the scheme.
