Salary review and re-banding
Reviews of salary and banding are closely linked to the Staff Review and Development Scheme (SRDS).
There is scope for salary increases to be awarded within the band. It will be identified through SRDS where there is a good case for consideration for an increase in salary. The staff member would then be invited to write a summary of his/her contribution, which would be considered by the Vice-Chancellor, the Registrar and Secretary and the Director of Human Resources.
Where SRDS identifies that a role may have grown into the next band, in line with the needs of the University, a panel with a similar composition to the original banding panel will assess if the role should be re-banded. The final approval for any salary changes will remain with the Senior Remuneration Committee, which also oversees review processes.
