Reward and Recognition ReviewReward and Recognition Review

The University is currently undertaking a review of its reward strategy. The current reward strategy was developed in 2005 following the nationally agreed framework on pay and reward within the higher education sector.

This project has two phases:

- Initially the focus will be on the overarching strategy and principles the University wishes to adopt in terms of its reward and recognition offering. A strategic review group chaired by Professor Gill Valentine, Faculty Pro-Vice Chancellor for Social Sciences has undertaken this review which will be completed by the end of July. A number of focus groups have been held with members of staff across the University which has fed into the strategic review.

- Phase two of the project will commence in the autumn and will address any changes to be made to our reward and recognition mechanisms.

We will endeavour to keep you updated during the project via the webpages and other suitable channels.
